ACCA Trainee Program (10 Positions)

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee ACCA to join our Finance and Accounts team. The role is ideal for an ACCA student or part-qualified candidate who wants hands-on exposure to finance operations within a fast-paced hypermarket environment.

The selected candidate will support day-to-day accounting, sales reconciliation, vendor payments, inventory-related finance processes, reporting, and internal controls. This is a strong learning opportunity for someone who wants to build practical finance experience in retail, FMCG, and large-scale store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily sales reconciliation from POS systems, cash counters, card payments, and online transactions.
• Support bank reconciliations and ensure timely identification of any variances.
• Assist in recording purchase invoices, supplier bills, debit notes, credit notes, and payment entries.
• Support accounts payable processes, including vendor statement reconciliation and payment follow-ups.
• Help maintain accurate records of inventory purchases, stock adjustments, returns, wastage, and shrinkage.
• Coordinate with store operations, procurement, warehouse, and cash office teams for finance-related matters.
• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for management review.
• Support month-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, expense classification, and ledger review.
• Assist in petty cash management and expense verification.
• Ensure proper filing and documentation of invoices, receipts, approvals, and supporting documents.
• Support internal control checks related to cash handling, stock movement, discounts, refunds, and supplier claims.
• Assist with audit requirements by preparing schedules and providing supporting documents.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial data.
  
  

Required Qualification

• ACCA student, part-qualified ACCA, or pursuing ACCA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field will be preferred.
• Fresh candidates may apply, but internship or retail finance exposure will be an advantage.
  
  

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work with numbers accurately and under deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to learn retail finance operations.
• Basic knowledge of ERP, POS, or accounting software will be preferred.
