You will support the Financial Controller in delivering accurate financial reporting, month-end close, and balance sheet control for GSK Pakistan. You will work closely with local business partners, shared services, tax and statutory providers, and regional finance teams. You will support the Financial Controller in delivering accurate financial reporting, month-end close, and balance sheet control for GSK Pakistan. You will work closely with local business partners, shared services, tax and statutory providers, and regional finance teams. Responsibilities
- Lead and execute month-end close activities for assigned legal entities, including preparation and review of journals.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and high-risk account reviews, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of open items.
- Produce monthly financial packs and present results and insights to the Financial Controller and business stakeholders.
- Ensure accounting treatments follow IFRS and local statutory requirements and apply internal control standards consistently.
- Support statutory reporting, tax submissions and external audit requests by coordinating with external advisers and shared service teams.
- Drive process improvements and participate in local finance projects to increase efficiency and control.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting or controlling.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and month-end close procedures.
- Experience preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and analytical reviews.
- Strong communication skills in English. Urdu or other local language skills are an advantage.
- Proficient in Excel and experience with ERP or financial reporting systems.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent) part-qualified or completed.
- Experience with SAP or other large ERP systems and with reporting tools (Power BI, Lumira or similar).
- Experience working in a multinational company or shared service environment.
- Proven experience supporting external audits and statutory reporting.
- Demonstrated process improvement experience and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to present financial insight to senior stakeholders and influence decisions.
