Assistant Mold Designer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Mold Designer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior mold designers in the creation and modification of 2D and 3D mold designs using CAD software, primarily SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Develop detailed 2D drafting packages from 3D models, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• Support the analysis of component designs for manufacturability, identifying potential issues related to injection molding or die casting processes.
• Contribute to the research and understanding of material science principles as they apply to mold design and component performance.
• Review and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings to ensure design integrity and functionality.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing, to resolve design challenges and optimize tooling solutions.
• Maintain organized project documentation and contribute to design reviews, demonstrating strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 year of experience in a related design or engineering role.
• Proficiency in CAD software, with a strong command of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated experience with 3D modeling and 2D drafting techniques.
• Solid understanding of mold design principles for injection molding and/or die casting.
• Knowledge of basic tooling concepts and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• DAE Mechanical or equivalent qualification
