Details

Khyber Teaching Hospital (KTH), Peshawar, is seeking a qualified and experienced Consultant Transplant Nephrologist on a contract basis. The specialist will be responsible for managing renal transplant patients, providing expert nephrology care, and coordinating with the transplant surgery team. This role requires strong clinical expertise and extensive experience in a recognized renal transplant unit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre- and post-transplant nephrology care.
  • Manage renal transplant patient evaluations and follow-up.
  • Work collaboratively with transplant surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital and international clinical protocols.
  • Guide junior medical staff and contribute to departmental training.
  • Conduct patient assessments, dialysis management, and transplant-related medical decisions.

Requirements

  • MBBS from a recognized institution.
  • FCPS (Nephrology) OR Board Certified OR CCST (UK/Ireland).
  • Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience in a recognized renal transplant unit.
  • Strong nephrology expertise with transplant exposure.
  • Excellent decision-making and clinical management skills.
