The Division:

Vela Software is a subsidiary of Constellation Software, a TSX-listed publicly traded company. Constellation Software operates in over 100 countries and dozens of verticals. Constellation Software has completed over 500 acquisitions of small, medium and large private and public companies since its inception in 1995.

Overview

Vela requires a dedicated Cyber Platforms Administrator to provide day-to-day operational support for the Operating Group’s core security platforms: CrowdStrike Falcon Complete (managed via Flight Control), Orca Cloud Security, and Abnormal.ai. The Operating Group has invested significantly in best-of-breed cyber platforms across a large, decentralised business unit estate. This role keeps them running cleanly.

The resource will report to the Head of Cyber Operations and will be responsible for tenant provisioning, user administration, platform reporting, and handling first-line requests from BU IT teams. The role requires someone with a few years of general IT or security experience and a willingness to deepen their expertise across enterprise security platforms.

Scope of Work

CrowdStrike Falcon / Flight Control

• Manage CrowdStrike Flight Control across the Operating Group’s multi-tenant environment, including CID provisioning, policy assignment, and user access management.

• Maintain consistent configuration baselines across child CIDs and flag drift or anomalies to the Head of Cyber Operations.

• Run and maintain reporting on sensor coverage, module deployment status, and vulnerability counts across the estate.

• Handle first-line queries from BU IT teams relating to agent deployment, sensor health, and access requests.

Orca Cloud Security

• Administer Orca Cloud Security tenants, including account onboarding, user provisioning, and role management.

• Produce regular reporting on cloud asset coverage, vulnerability counts, and alert trends.

• Support BU IT teams with access requests and basic query support within the platform.

Abnormal.ai

• Administer Abnormal.ai tenants across the Operating Group, including tenant provisioning and user management.

• Produce reporting on detection volumes, email threat trends, and coverage across business units.

• Handle first-line requests from BU IT teams relating to access, configuration queries, and platform usage.

General

• Manage inbound requests from BU IT teams, acting as the first point of contact for platform-related queries across all three toolsets.

• Maintain accurate records of tenant inventories, user accounts, and licence utilisation.

• Assist the Head of Cyber Operations with ad hoc reporting, data extraction, and operational tasks as needed.

• Contribute to documentation including runbooks, how-to guides, and standard operating procedures for platform administration.

Resource Requirements

• A few years of experience in IT operations or security operations, with hands-on exposure to EDR/MDR platforms.

• Comfortable administering multi-tenant security platforms, including user and access management.

• Experience producing operational reporting from security tooling, covering metrics such as coverage, vulnerabilities, and usage.

• Able to manage a direct inbound from multiple stakeholders, prioritise effectively, and communicate clearly in English.

• Familiarity with CrowdStrike Falcon is strongly preferred. Experience with Orca Cloud Security or Abnormal.ai is a bonus.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft environments, particularly across multiple tenants.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable maintaining accurate records across a large estate.
