Job Description
Aqovia is seeking an experienced and resilient DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer to architect, secure, and scale our deployment environments. In this role, you will be the backbone of our enterprise infrastructure, taking full ownership of the staging and production environments for our national-scale LMS platform. You will ensure maximum uptime, build automated CI/CD pipelines, and optimize hosting frameworks to seamlessly handle millions of concurrent users. Working alongside software engineers and data teams, you will safeguard sensitive client data through rigorous access controls and cloud security protocols. Your expertise will ensure our complex AI, Moodle, and core software systems deploy reliably and execute with flawless performance.
Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain scalable cloud, hybrid, or on-premise infrastructure environments to host our LMS platform.

Architect and implement robust automated CI/CD pipelines to streamline code compilation, testing, and continuous software deployments.

Monitor system health, performance metrics, and application logs to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks or localized outages.

Configure and maintain containerized environments utilizing tools like Docker and orchestration layers such as Kubernetes to guarantee system elasticity.

Implement stringent security measures, including firewall configurations, secure data encryption at rest/in transit, and strict role-based access controls.

Formulate comprehensive disaster recovery protocols, automated data backups, and high-availability architecture configurations for backend databases.

Collaborate with development teams to optimize server environments for handling heavy peak traffic spikes during regional public training runs.
Skills and Experience
Essential Requirements

4–5 years of dedicated professional experience operating as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or Infrastructure Automation Specialist.

Hands-on mastery of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) alongside experience in local hypervisor environments or private data centers.

Proven experience building automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing toolsets such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

Extensive proficiency in administering Linux server operating systems and automating processes with Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages.

Professional communication skills are essential. Candidates must possess excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively manage business interactions and maintain a professional tone in all commercial correspondence.
Nice to have

Direct experience deploying, scaling, and caching large instances of the Moodle LMS ecosystem or highly dynamic PHP/MySQL application infrastructures.

Familiarity with the network infrastructure, localized data hosting laws, and cloud security mandates required by client.

Experience setting up comprehensive monitoring and alerting stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK Stack.

Understanding of database optimization and clustering strategies for high-volume relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

Prior experience supporting infrastructure within a high-velocity tech incubator or an AI-as-a-Service software firm
