We are seeking two nurturing, creative, and dedicated Early Years Teachers to join our Playgroup and Kindergarten sections. The ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of early childhood development and the ability to create a stimulating, play-based learning environment that aligns with the Cambridge Early Years curriculum and modern early childhood pedagogies.
Experience Required (Mandatory)
Candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:
- A minimum of 2 years of early years teaching experience (Playgroup, Nursery, KG) in the Army Public School System or a reputable institution following an international curriculum; OR
- A minimum of 2 years of early years teaching experience in a Cambridge International School, Montessori school, or other accredited international early years setting.
Additional Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field. A Montessori Diploma, ECE certification, B.Ed. or M.Ed. is strongly preferred.
- Certification: Cambridge Early Years certification or equivalent professional development in early childhood pedagogy is a distinct advantage.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to create a print-rich, stimulating classroom environment and develop age-appropriate learning resources.
Special Note for Extraordinary Candidates
Do not meet the experience requirement? We still encourage you to apply. Candidates who believe they can deliver outstanding results despite not meeting the stated experience criteria are welcome to try. If you can prove that you are extraordinary – through a remarkable demonstration of classroom engagement, exceptional understanding of child psychology, innovative hands-on teaching techniques, or proven developmental outcomes elsewhere – we are willing to consider you on merit alone. Passion, potential, and performance can sometimes outweigh years on paper.
Selection Process (Mandatory for all Shortlisted Candidates)
- Early Childhood Education Written Assessment: A short-answer test covering child development theories, age-appropriate teaching strategies, phonics knowledge, classroom management scenarios, and understanding of the Cambridge Early Years framework.
- Activity Demonstration (Practical): Candidates will be asked to prepare and present a 15-minute small-group learning activity suitable for Playgroup or KG level. Assessment will focus on engagement, creativity, language modelling, differentiation, and alignment with early learning goals.
- Interview: A panel interview to assess the candidate's teaching philosophy, experience, child-handling skills, and alignment with APSIS values.
