Overview

UIT University (UITU) is established vide The University Act, 2017 of Government of Sindh. The University is the culmination of twenty-seven years of progressive and successful operation of the Usman Institute of Technology. Currently, the University has four Departments namely, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Management Sciences and Social Sciences. In order to expand our contribution in the economy and to meet emerging requirements of talented professionals in the country, the University is keen to start education in diversified disciplines.

In order to fill the internal full-time Software Developer position of UITU, applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates.

Specific Skills

• Ideal candidates should posses good communication skills in English and Urdu;
• Have command in VB.NET, C#, ASP.NET, Crystal reports, SQL Server, Query writing, Stored procedures, HTML, HTML5, CSS and Java Script.
• Must be a team player with strong leadership, communication, and supervision skills.
  
  

Responsible For

• Perform Routine Tasks of MIS;
• Backup of database and applications;
• Support to faculty and staff;
• End User correction in several software and databases;
• Provide data from database and generate reports for staff and faculty;
• Data Execution at database level and modifications of several software;
• Maintain UITU website such as modification of website design, adding new pages, news and events, faculty profile and library pages;
• Maintain and develop academic software such SIMS, Faculty Evaluation, Faculty Progress, Scheduling Software, Student Portal, Finance Assistant, Graduate Directory etc.
• Maintenance and development of Library Software such as Library application, Online Reservation, etc.
• Maintenance and development of Finance software such General Ledger, Pay roll, Fixed Assets and PF application.
• Maintenance and development of alumni application.
• Maintenance and development of other UIT software such as lab system, Online Job Portal, Open House Registration, Online Quiz etc.
• Any other work assigned from time to time by the Reporting Head.
  
  

Qualification & Experience Requirements

Computer Science (or relevant) graduate from HEC recognized University.
