Our client Confidential is looking for a Import Export Operations Manager in Gujranwala

The Manager Import & Export oversees and coordinates all activities related to the import and export operations of the company, ensuring strict adherence to international trade compliance and customs regulations. This role requires a professional with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience who can lead a small team effectively. The manager is responsible for managing import-export documentation, ensuring customs compliance, and facilitating smooth and efficient cross-border transactions. A positive attitude and proactive problem-solving approach are essential to succeed in this position.

This role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders to maintain compliance with international trade laws while optimizing logistics and minimizing delays. The Manager Import & Export also monitors changes in customs regulations and trade policies, advising the company accordingly. Managing a team of one person, this role demands leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop team member capabilities while upholding high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all import and export operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs laws.
• Review and process import-export documentation accurately and timely to meet legal and company requirements.
• Lead and supervise a team member, providing guidance, training, and support to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations, trade agreements, and compliance requirements influencing import and export activity.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities to ensure smooth clearance of goods.
• Manage and monitor shipment schedules to avoid delays and resolve any logistical issues proactively.
• Analyze and enhance processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain compliance in trading activities.
• Implement and enforce customs compliance programs and internal controls to mitigate risks of non-compliance.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections related to import/export transactions to ensure adherence to regulations.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners to support operational needs and resolve import/export related issues.
• Keep detailed records and reports on import/export transactions, compliance issues, and team performance metrics.
• Promote a positive attitude within the team and across departments to foster a collaborative and solution-driven work environment.
