Lead Full Stack Engineer - AI

Job Overview

Software Finder is seeking an experienced and highly technical Lead Full Stack Engineer to lead the architecture, development, and delivery of our next-generation web platform. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineering leader with deep expertise in modern full-stack technologies, scalable cloud-native architectures, and AI-powered applications.

As the Engineering Lead, you will drive technical strategy, establish engineering best practices, mentor a high-performing development team, and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to build secure, scalable, and high-performance products. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with leadership experience and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, development, and continuous enhancement of scalable, secure, and maintainable web applications.
• Build and maintain modern full-stack applications using React.js, Next.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Design and implement hybrid server/serverless architectures using Supabase, including authentication, real-time databases, Edge Functions, Vector Database, and storage capabilities.
• Architect scalable backend systems and APIs while ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team by promoting collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous learning.
• Implement modern UI/UX using Tailwind CSS, Material UI (MUI), HTML5, and CSS3 while ensuring responsive and accessible user experiences.
• Develop type-safe applications using tRPC and Zod for end-to-end validation and consistency.
• Design and integrate AI-powered solutions, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Integrate third-party platforms and APIs, including Amazon APIs, Google Authentication, Google Analytics, email services, and other external systems.
• Monitor application health, troubleshoot production issues, and optimize performance using Datadog, Sentry, and related monitoring tools.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps best practices using shell scripting and infrastructure automation.
• Manage source code, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows using Git and Bitbucket.
• Apply software architecture principles, including Clean Architecture, MVVM, and industry-standard testing methodologies to ensure maintainable and scalable codebases.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Leadership teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through architectural reviews, code quality initiatives, and adoption of emerging technologies.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
• 7+ years of professional experience in full-stack web application development.
• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams and managing software development lifecycles.
• Strong expertise in React.js, Next.js, NestJS, Node.js, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, and Material UI (MUI).
• Hands-on experience with Supabase, backend-as-a-service platforms, and serverless architecture.
• Experience building applications using Vercel, Cloudflare Workers, or similar edge-function platforms.
• Experience managing self-hosted infrastructure, including DigitalOcean Droplets or equivalent cloud environments.
• Proven experience integrating LLMs, AI frameworks, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines into production applications.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, third-party integrations, authentication systems, and cloud services.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, shell scripting, and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, clean architecture, testing methodologies, and secure coding practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

• Experience working with AI-driven products, conversational AI, or intelligent automation platforms.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and real-time application development.
• Knowledge of vector databases, semantic search, and modern AI infrastructure.
• Experience with observability, monitoring, and performance optimization using Datadog, Sentry, or similar platforms.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies and engineering leadership best practices.
• Experience building highly scalable SaaS or enterprise-grade web applications.
