Position Description

Responsibilities during this internship will include but are not limited to assisting staff with the development and implementation of training programs for both men’s and women’s basketball teams; demonstrating and teaching proper strength training, running and plyometrics; maintaining the upkeep of facilities; participation in an academic internship curriculum; assistance in sport science testing/technology and data analysis. Interns will gain valuable experience collaborating with strength & conditioning, sports medicine, and performance nutrition as well as experience the daily operations of a D1 setting, while working with the basketball Sport Performance Department at Clemson University.

• Number of Opportunities: 1-2
• Special Requirements:Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in Exercise Science or related field; certified in CPR/AED/First Aid; strong desire to become Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach; pursuing CSCCa-SCCC or NSCA-CSCS certification
• Timeframe: YEAR-LONG PROGRAM -> Start: August - End: July; --or-- SEMESTER-LONG PROGRAM -> Fall: August - December; Spring: January - May; Summer: May - August
• Time Commitment: 40-50 hrs/week
