About Nectar Social

Nectar Social is building an AI-native social operating system that helps modern brands create deeper, more authentic relationships with their communities. By bringing together social interaction, customer engagement, and commerce, Nectar enables brands to manage and scale their social presence through one intelligent platform.

Founded by experienced product and engineering leaders, Nectar is backed by leading investors and works with globally recognized consumer brands. As we continue expanding our team and operations across Pakistan and the United States, we are looking for an experienced IT Systems & Network Administration Manager to build, manage, and strengthen our global IT infrastructure.

Role Overview

The IT Systems & Network Administration Specialist will be responsible for managing Nectar’s internal IT systems, network infrastructure, employee devices, identity and access management, and workplace technology.

This role will provide hands-on IT and network support for Nectar’s Pakistan office while also taking ownership of several global IT functions, including Google Workspace administration, mobile device management, single sign-on, user provisioning, access controls, security enforcement, and employee onboarding and offboarding.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent operational judgment. You should be comfortable troubleshooting day-to-day employee issues while also designing scalable systems, policies, and automation for a growing global organization.

Key Responsibilities

Global IT Systems Administration

  • Administer Nectar’s global Google Workspace environment, including users, groups, shared drives, permissions, security settings, email routing, and application access.
  • Manage the complete employee IT lifecycle, including account creation, access provisioning, role changes, access reviews, and offboarding.
  • Configure and maintain identity and access management systems, including SSO, SAML, OAuth, SCIM, multi-factor authentication, and role-based access controls.
  • Manage Google Groups, shared inboxes, distribution lists, administrative accounts, and application permissions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems, integrations, access structures, and internal IT procedures.
  • Automate repetitive IT, access-management, and onboarding workflows where possible.

Security and Access Management

  • Establish and enforce company-wide access, authentication, device-compliance, and security policies.
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and remove unnecessary or outdated permissions.
  • Manage privileged accounts and support internal audits, compliance reviews, and security documentation.
  • Assist with investigating suspicious login activity, compromised accounts, device incidents, and other internal security concerns.

Device and Asset Management

  • Manage Nectar’s Mobile Device Management program across company-issued laptops and devices.
  • Enforce device security requirements, including encryption, software updates, endpoint protection, remote locking, and remote wiping.
  • Prepare, issue, track, recover, reset, and reassign employee devices.
  • Maintain an accurate global inventory of laptops, monitors, accessories, network equipment, and software licenses.
  • Coordinate device procurement, repairs, replacements, warranties, and vendor support.

Pakistan Office Network and Infrastructure

  • Manage the day-to-day IT and network infrastructure of Nectar’s Lahore office.
  • Configure and maintain routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, cabling, and related network equipment.
  • Monitor network performance, internet uptime, bandwidth, and security.
  • Coordinate with internet service providers for installation, configuration, outages, upgrades, static IPs, and backup connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot office Wi-Fi, wired networks, printers, meeting-room systems, video-conferencing equipment, CCTV, and access-control systems.
  • Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, warranties, and vendor information.

Employee IT Support and Onboarding

  • Serve as the primary IT support contact for the Pakistan office and provide support to global employees when required.
  • Resolve issues related to devices, software, email, permissions, authentication, connectivity, and workplace technology.
  • Coordinate with People Operations, Talent, Security, Finance, and hiring managers to ensure smooth employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Configure accounts, devices, and application access for new employees and securely disable or transfer access for departing employees.
  • Develop onboarding guides, troubleshooting documentation, self-service resources, and support processes.
  • Track recurring issues and implement scalable, long-term solutions.

IT Operations and Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with hardware suppliers, software providers, repair vendors, and internet service providers.
  • Review quotations, service agreements, warranties, invoices, subscriptions, and renewal requirements.
  • Maintain centralized records of software licenses, system owners, administrators, and renewal dates.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce technology costs and eliminate unused or duplicate tools.
  • Develop and maintain IT policies, disaster-recovery plans, internet-failover procedures, and business-continuity processes.
  • Provide regular reporting on IT support, device inventory, network performance, security risks, and ongoing projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Approximately 5 or more years of experience in IT systems administration, network administration, IT infrastructure, or a similar role.
  • Prior experience independently managing IT operations for a growing technology company or multi-office organization.
  • Strong hands-on experience administering Google Workspace.
  • Experience managing identity providers, SSO, SAML, SCIM, multi-factor authentication, and role-based access controls.
  • Experience implementing or managing a Mobile Device Management platform.
  • Strong understanding of network architecture, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, routers, switches, wireless networks, and firewalls.
  • Experience configuring and supporting office networks and coordinating directly with internet service providers.
  • Experience managing macOS devices; familiarity with Windows and Linux environments is an advantage.
  • Experience managing SaaS applications, application permissions, administrator accounts, and software licenses.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and project-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information, administrative credentials, and confidential company data responsibly.
  • Willingness to work on-site at Nectar’s Lahore office and collaborate across multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-growing startup, SaaS company, or globally distributed organization.
  • Familiarity with MDM platforms such as Kandji, Jamf, Microsoft Intune, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management platforms such as Okta, Google Cloud Identity, Microsoft Entra ID, JumpCloud, or similar systems.
  • Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, vendor security reviews, or other security and compliance programs.
  • Experience with endpoint detection and response, antivirus administration, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
  • Experience supporting Zoom Rooms, Google Meet hardware, conference room systems, CCTV, access control, and workplace technology.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Google Workspace Administrator, Microsoft, Jamf, or equivalent certifications.
  • Basic scripting or automation experience using tools such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, APIs, or workflow automation platforms.

What Success Looks Like

Within the first several months, the successful candidate will have:

  • Established clear ownership of Nectar’s global IT systems and Pakistan office infrastructure.
  • Improved the reliability, security, and documentation of the Lahore office network.
  • Implemented consistent device-management and security policies across company-issued devices.
  • Standardized employee onboarding, account provisioning, access changes, and offboarding.
  • Expanded SSO, SAML, and SCIM coverage across Nectar’s key applications.
  • Created an accurate global inventory of devices, software subscriptions, system administrators, and access permissions.
  • Reduced recurring employee IT issues through better systems, automation, documentation, and proactive monitoring.
  • Built scalable IT processes capable of supporting Nectar’s continued global growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are a hands-on IT leader who is equally comfortable configuring a network switch, troubleshooting an employee’s laptop, managing Google Workspace, and designing a global identity and access-management process.

You take ownership, document your work, communicate clearly, and think proactively about security, scalability, employee experience, and business continuity. You enjoy building structure in fast-moving environments and can balance immediate technical support needs with longer-term infrastructure improvements.
