Lead Design & Proposal Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Design & Proposal Engineer – ELV Systems to lead the design, engineering, estimation, and preparation of techno-commercial proposals for ELV and Integrated Smart Building Solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in security, communication, ICT infrastructure, and life-safety systems, while collaborating closely with sales, consultants, OEMs, and clients to deliver competitive and compliant solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Design & Engineering:
• Review RFQs, tender documents, specifications, drawings, and BOQs for ELV projects.
• Design integrated ELV and Smart Building solutions based on project requirements.
• Prepare system architecture, network topology, riser diagrams, and technical schematics.
• Perform equipment sizing, solution optimization, and value engineering.
• Develop BOQs and accurate cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
• Participate in technical discussions with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Proposal & Pre-Sales

• Prepare technical and commercial proposals.
• Develop compliance matrices and tender documentation.
• Conduct bid risk assessments and identify commercial risks.
• Coordinate with OEMs for solution selection, pricing, and technical support.
• Participate in bid clarification meetings and technical presentations.
• Support the sales team throughout the pre-sales cycle.
• Ensure timely and high-quality submission of proposals.
  
  

Vendor & Team Leadership

• Build and maintain relationships with leading OEMs and technology partners.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
• Negotiate technical and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Review technical submissions prepared by proposal engineers.
• Mentor and develop team members while establishing proposal standards and best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  
  

Experience

• 8–10 years of experience in ELV systems design, engineering, and proposal management.
• Proven experience delivering proposals for commercial, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use, airport, data center, or smart city projects.
• Strong understanding of integrated security systems and smart building technologies.
