Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Management Accountant to join the team for one of our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, owning the month-end close process, and providing critical commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.

Role Summary
As a key member of the finance function, you will bridge the gap between financial data and operational strategy. You will oversee financial performance, lead budgeting and forecasting efforts, and ensure rigorous adherence to Pakistan's tax compliance and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Management Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and perform detailed variance analysis to explain financial and operational performance.
• Month-End Ownership: Deliver the month-end close process within tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and completeness.
• Strategic Planning: Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial models; act as a business partner to operational and commercial teams to drive performance.
• Tax Compliance: Manage all Pakistan tax requirements, including WHT, sales tax, and corporate income tax. Ensure accurate submissions via the FBR portal, reconcile deductions, and manage relationships with tax authorities and auditors.
• Process Improvement: Maintain strong financial controls, monitor changes in tax legislation to minimize risk, and identify opportunities to streamline reporting standards.
  
  
  

Key Requirements

• Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
• Experience: Proven background in management accounting within an industry-based finance function.
• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency (financial modeling/data analysis) and experience with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, Sage).
• Tax Expertise: Solid, practical knowledge of Pakistan taxation and FBR portal compliance.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management abilities with the capacity to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in multi-site or multi-entity business environments.
• Background in process improvement or finance transformation initiatives.
• Previous experience in business partnering with non-finance commercial/operational teams.
