About The Role
We are looking for a Manager – Accounts & Taxation to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines while ensuring accurate financial records and timely statutory filings.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions
- Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts
- Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies
- Review accounting entries, reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and adjustments
- Monitor receivables, payables, and cash flow to support timely collections and payments
- Maintain effective internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely availability of records and supporting documentation
- Manage direct and indirect tax compliance, including preparation and timely filing of tax returns and statements
- Ensure accurate calculation and payment of income tax, withholding taxes, payroll-related taxes, and other applicable levies
- Review tax reconciliations and maintain complete supporting records
- Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organization
- Coordinate with tax authorities, consultants, and external advisors
- Manage tax audits, assessments, notices, appeals, and related correspondence
- Identify opportunities for legitimate tax efficiencies while ensuring full compliance with applicable laws
- Maintain a compliance calendar to track filing deadlines and statutory obligations
- CA Inter or ACCA qualification
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, and taxation
- Strong understanding of Pakistan’s tax framework and applicable accounting standards
- Hands-on experience with tax filings and relevant online portals, including FBR IRIS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems
- Experience managing financial closing, reconciliations, and audit requirements
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, coordinate with stakeholders, and meet deadlines
- High standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professional integrity
- Available to work onsite in Lahore
