Manager Design & Illustration

About the Role

The incumbent will be responsible for leading the end-to-end design and illustration function, with a primary focus on developing high-quality educational books and related publishing materials in line with business needs. The role will oversee book design, layout, illustration, and visual storytelling across both print and digital formats, ensuring that content is engaging, accurate, and aligned with publishing and brand standards.

The incumbent will lead the development and enhancement of products and creative content, ensuring effective integration across different platforms. The role will also focus on improving creative processes and workflows to support efficient, timely, and scalable content development. This position will lead and develop creative teams, manage multiple projects, and work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements, timelines, and deliverables. The incumbent will maintain quality and brand consistency across all creative outputs, keep up to date with industry trends and new technologies, and identify opportunities to introduce innovative approaches to design and illustration. The role will also monitor creative performance and project outcomes to support continuous improvement and ensure that content remains relevant to market and business needs.

About You

The successful candidate should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Animation, Graphic Design, Multimedia, or a related field with at least 6 years’ relevant experience.
• Proven experience in video editing and animation, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
• Basic knowledge of Illustration, character animation preferred.
• Excellent creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
