Manager: Final Accounts & Corporate Tax

We are ACCA registered firm based in the United Kingdom having a back office in Defence Phase II Extension, Karachi, Pakistan. We are looking to appoint experienced ACCA Qualified Accountant (Manager role) to support the Partner in Final Accounts preparation and related Corporation Tax return.

Candidate must have ACCA qualification with ATX paper passed and 3 – 5 years practice experience will be preferred in similar position. He must have excellent communication skills.

About The Role

We are a growing UK accounting practice with a dedicated back office in Karachi. We are looking for a Manager to lead our Final Accounts and Corporate Tax function. You will manage the preparation and review of statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns, supervise the production team, and work with the Partner to make sure every set of accounts and every return is accurate, compliant and delivered on time. You will also liaise directly with UK clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation of year-end accounts for UK limited companies using software complaint under FRS 102 (including Section 1A), FRS 105.
• Review accounts prepared by the team for accuracy, disclosures and consistency.
• Review year-end adjustments, including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and depreciation, stock, WIP, loans, deferred tax and director's loan accounts.
• Make sure accounts are filed at Companies House within statutory deadlines.
• Handle queries on the bookkeeping, and agree adjustments with the bookkeeping and VAT team.
• Manage the preparation and review of CT600 returns and supporting computations using HMRC complaint software.
• Compute taxable profits, including capital allowances, disallowable expenses, loss relief, associated companies, marginal relief and group matters.
• Make sure tax payment deadlines are tracked and clients are informed in good time.
