What you'll do

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Milk Collection to lead milk procurement operations across assigned regions. This role is responsible for driving milk collection volumes, ensuring quality compliance, managing field operations, and strengthening relationships with farmers and milk suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dairy procurement, field operations management, and team leadership, with the ability to optimize collection networks and deliver operational excellence.

Your Key Areas Of Delivery

Drive Milk Collection Performance

• Lead milk collection operations across collection centers and field locations.
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly milk procurement targets.
• Identify opportunities to increase milk collection volumes and expand procurement networks.
• Ensure efficient collection, transportation, and delivery of milk.

Ensure Quality & Compliance

• Maintain milk quality standards and testing protocols.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and operational requirements.
• Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Lead High-Performing Teams

• Manage, mentor, and develop field teams, supervisors, and collection staff.
• Monitor team performance and drive accountability.
• Ensure effective workforce planning and deployment.

Build Strong Farmer Relationships

• Develop long-term relationships with farmers, suppliers, and collection partners.
• Resolve supplier concerns and improve retention.
• Support expansion initiatives in strategic procurement regions.

Strengthen Operational Controls

• Oversee cash collection processes and transaction reconciliation.
• Monitor operational expenses and support cost optimization efforts.
• Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting.

Monitor Performance & Insights

• Track procurement volumes and operational KPIs.
• Prepare regular management reports and performance updates.
• Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities.

What We're Looking For

• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Hands-on experience in dairy procurement and milk collection operations.
• Knowledge of milk quality standards, food safety, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing large field teams and geographically dispersed operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Dairy Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Master's degree will be an added advantage.
• 8–12 years of experience in dairy procurement, milk collection operations, agricultural supply chains, or field operations management.
• Proven experience managing milk collection networks and field-based teams.
• Strong understanding of dairy operations, procurement processes, and quality management systems.
