Job Overview

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operational activities for Weatherford's Intervention Services & Drilling Tools (ISDT) product line. The role ensures the efficient planning, scheduling, utilization, and movement of downhole rental tools while supporting customer requirements, operational performance, and financial objectives.

Working closely with Operations, Field Personnel, Supply Chain, Workshop, Sales, and customers, the Operations Coordinator ensures the timely execution of jobs, optimal asset utilization, accurate operational reporting, and compliance with Weatherford's HSE, quality, and operational standards. The role also supports cost control, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily ISDT operations, ensuring the timely preparation, mobilization, and delivery of downhole rental tools to customer locations.
  • Plan and schedule field jobs while coordinating with Operations, Workshop, Supply Chain, Logistics, and Sales teams to meet customer requirements.
  • Manage the availability and utilization of downhole rental tools, including jars, stabilizers, reamers, circulation subs, and other ISDT equipment.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding operational planning, job execution, equipment availability, and operational updates.
  • Monitor operational performance, KPIs, and service delivery to ensure jobs are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer expectations.
  • Coordinate equipment returns, repair requirements, maintenance schedules, and inventory control to maximize asset utilization.
  • Support operational financial management by monitoring job costs, equipment utilization, operational expenses, revenue tracking, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Prepare operational reports, utilization reports, customer documentation, and performance metrics while maintaining accurate records within company systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Weatherford's HSE, Quality, and Operational Management Systems, participating in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues, improve service delivery, and enhance customer satisfaction

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of ISDT operations and downhole rental tools, including jars, stabilizers, reamers, circulation subs, and related drilling tools.
  • Experience coordinating field operations, equipment scheduling, and customer support activities.
  • Understanding of operational planning, logistics coordination, inventory management, and asset utilization.
  • Knowledge of operational financial management, including job costing, budgeting, revenue tracking, and cost control.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize multiple operational activities.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/Operations Management systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or equivalent).
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) or Technical High School Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Oil & Gas operations with exposure to Downhole Rental Tools and ISDT operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Jars, Stabilizers, Reamers, Circulation Subs, and other downhole drilling tools.
  • 3–5 years of experience coordinating customer operations, field service activities, and operational planning.
  • Experience managing operational financial activities, including job costing, equipment utilization, and operational reporting.
  • Experience within the Oil & Gas drilling services industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders while delivering high levels of customer service and operational excellence.
