We are looking for an experienced Oracle EBS HCM Functional Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Core HR and Payroll.

The consultant will be responsible for providing production support, troubleshooting functional and transaction-related issues, supporting Oracle HCM configurations and setups, and working closely with business users and technical teams. The role will also involve root-cause analysis, functional documentation, and ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved within agreed SLA timelines.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide functional support for Oracle E-Business Suite R12 HCM applications.
• Support Oracle Core HR and Payroll modules and related business processes.
• Troubleshoot functional, transactional, and application-related issues.
• Analyze and resolve HR and Payroll transaction errors and configuration issues.
• Work closely with business users to understand requirements, investigate issues, and provide appropriate functional solutions.
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues requiring technical investigation or customization.
• Perform root-cause analysis for recurring functional and transaction-related issues.
• Support Oracle EBS HCM setups, configurations, and business-process changes.
• Ensure incidents, service requests, and problem tickets are resolved within agreed SLA timelines.
• Provide production support within AMS / Application Management Services environments.
• Support HR and Payroll-related testing, enhancements, deployments, and production releases.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to HR and Payroll transactions and their downstream accounting impact.
• Support and validate Oracle accounting flows and transaction accounting where applicable.
• Prepare functional specifications and requirements documentation for technical teams.
• Translate business requirements into functional solutions and communicate them effectively to technical teams.
• Prepare functional documentation, test scenarios, and user-support materials where required.
• Participate in system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Support business users during critical HR and Payroll processing cycles.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth resolution of issues and implementation of enhancements.
  
  
  

Skills

• Strong hands-on functional experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 HCM.
• Good functional knowledge of Oracle Core HR and Payroll.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end HR and Payroll processes.
• Experience with Oracle EBS HCM setups and configurations.
• Experience working in Oracle EBS Production Support / AMS environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to investigate functional and transaction-related issues and identify root causes.
• Good understanding of Oracle EBS transaction flows and accounting processes.
• Knowledge of Oracle accounting flows and transaction accounting.
• Experience working with business users and translating business requirements into functional solutions.
• Ability to prepare clear and comprehensive functional specifications for technical teams.
• Good understanding of Oracle EBS HCM workflows and business processes.
• Experience with Oracle Workflow and AME (Approvals Management Engine) is preferred.
• Exposure to advanced Oracle HCM modules is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, HR, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience working with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.
• Proven hands-on experience as an Oracle EBS HCM Functional Consultant.
• Strong functional experience in Oracle Core HR and Payroll.
• Practical experience with Oracle EBS HCM setups, configurations, and production support.
• Experience working in Production Support / AMS environments.
• Good understanding of HR, Payroll, accounting, and transaction processes.
• Experience collaborating with technical teams on functional requirements and solutions.
• Oracle EBS HCM certification is an advantage.
• Experience with Oracle Workflow, AME, or Advanced HCM modules will be considered a plus.
