Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS HRMS & Payroll Functional Consultant to support and enhance Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Human Resource Management System (HRMS) and Payroll modules. The ideal candidate will be responsible for payroll configuration, functional analysis, process optimization, testing, user support, and ensuring smooth payroll operations while maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Configure, implement, and support Oracle EBS R12 HRMS and Payroll modules.
  • Analyze business requirements and prepare functional design and solution documents.
  • Perform payroll setup including payroll elements, balances, Fast Formulas, and payroll processing configurations.
  • Support end-to-end payroll operations including payroll runs, pre-payments, costing, and payment processes.
  • Manage employee lifecycle transactions including onboarding, transfers, promotions, terminations, and final settlements.
  • Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, customizations, and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams for development, testing, deployment, and issue resolution.
  • Execute System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and support defect management activities.
  • Conduct user training sessions and provide post-production support.
  • Support statutory and regulatory requirements including taxation, gratuity, provident fund, leave encashment, and other payroll-related deductions.
  • Assist in process improvements and recommend best practices for HRMS and payroll operations.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across HR and payroll systems.


Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS R12 HRMS and Payroll modules.
  • Understanding of the complete payroll processing lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Fast Formula.
  • Expertise in Payroll Elements, Balances, Costing, and Payroll Processing.
  • Functional documentation and business requirement gathering skills.
  • SQL knowledge for data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in SIT, UAT, production support, and issue resolution.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle EBS R12 HRMS and Payroll implementation or support.
  • Experience in payroll configuration, processing, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in preparing functional specifications and coordinating with technical teams.
  • Knowledge of payroll costing, pre-payments, balances, and reporting.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle HRMS and Payroll implementation project experience.
  • Oracle certifications in HRMS or Payroll modules will be an advantage.
  • Experience working in consulting environments and managing multiple client engagements.
  • Understanding of regional payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
