HC Trade and Engineering Private Limited is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Manager Procurement to lead and manage the company's procurement operations. This role requires an experienced professional who can oversee the complete procurement cycle, from sourcing vendors to managing purchase orders and contracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for vendor evaluation, negotiation, cost analysis, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. Additionally, this position involves developing strong supplier relationships both locally and internationally to optimize costs and ensure quality. The Assistant Manager Procurement will lead a dedicated procurement team of 7 persons, providing guidance and driving efficiency to meet organizational goals while maintaining high standards of performance.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline, with a proven track record of 5 years in procurement roles, preferably within corporate or industrial settings. Key skills include strong negotiation, analytical thinking, communication, and leadership abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP or procurement software is advantageous. This position demands excellent multitasking capabilities and the ability to thrive under pressure, managing multiple procurement projects effectively and delivering cost-saving strategies that support business growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities
- Manage the entire procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and delivery to ensure smooth and timely operations.
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities to meet company requirements.
- Negotiate favorable prices, payment terms, and commercial conditions with suppliers to achieve cost reduction goals.
- Develop and maintain long-term, productive relationships with local and international suppliers to secure reliable procurement sources.
- Prepare, review, and administer procurement contracts and related paperwork to ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards throughout the procurement cycle.
- Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend adjustments in procurement strategies accordingly.
- Lead discussions for rate determination and cost modeling exercises to meet budgetary targets and maximize value.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments to understand procurement needs and deliver timely and cost-effective purchasing solutions.
- Manage vendor performance by establishing clear performance metrics and resolving any supply issues promptly to maintain service levels.
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate the procurement team of 7 members to achieve departmental objectives and promote professional development.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation for auditing and decision-making purposes.
- Implement and continuously improve procurement processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency, transparency, and control.
