Details

The National Incubation Center (NIC) Faisalabad is Pakistan’s first agritech-focused incubator, dedicated to fostering innovation, technology adoption, and entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector. The Project Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to position NIC Faisalabad as the country’s premier agritech innovation hub.

This role requires a visionary leader with deep understanding of Pakistan’s startup ecosystem, agribusiness dynamics, and innovation management, capable of driving impactful outcomes for startups and the broader agritech community.

Responsibilities

Incubator Leadership & Strategy

• Provide strategic direction to establish NIC Faisalabad as a leading agritech innovation hub.
• Design and implement incubation programs, mentorship frameworks, and startup support initiatives tailored to agritech needs.
• Develop annual work plans, performance indicators, and impact reporting systems.
• Startup Support & Development
• Mentor startups in business development, fundraising, and technology integration.
• Facilitate access to investors, industry experts, and agritech networks.
• Oversee specialized bootcamps, training, and capacity-building workshops.
• Program Management & Operations
• Manage daily operations and ensure smooth execution of incubation activities and events.
• Oversee financial management, resource allocation, and compliance with program policies.
• Ensure the incubator provides a collaborative, innovation-driven workspace.
• Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement
• Build and maintain partnerships with investors, industry leaders, academia, and government agencies.
• Lead outreach to attract promising agritech startups and entrepreneurs.
• Represent NIC Faisalabad on local, national, and international platforms.
• Community Building & Ecosystem Development
• Cultivate an entrepreneurial community in Faisalabad connected to national and global agritech ecosystems.
• Organize hackathons, networking events, and innovation showcases.
• Advocate for agritech entrepreneurship as a driver of economic growth.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in startup incubation, SME development, innovation management, or agribusiness.
• Strong understanding of Pakistan’s startup ecosystem and agritech sector.
• Proven record in programme management, partnership building, and stakeholder coordination.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship management skills.
