QA Automation Team Lead

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented QA Team Lead to join our growing team. We are seeking a quality-focused professional with strong expertise in QA Automation, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will lead QA initiatives, mentor team members, and drive automation best practices across projects.
Key Responsibilities• Lead and mentor the QA team, ensuring high standards of software quality and testing practices
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications and APIs
• Build, enhance, and manage automation frameworks using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, and Python-based automation frameworks
• Oversee functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing activities
• Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure product quality and timely delivery
• Execute API testing and validate backend services to ensure reliability and performance
• Integrate automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and deployment
• Identify, track, prioritize, and report defects while ensuring timely resolution
• Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, test strategy creation, and quality assurance processes
• Review test cases, testing reports, and QA deliverables to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, automation coverage, and quality standards
Requirements• 4–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on Automation Testing
• Proven experience leading or mentoring QA teams and coordinating testing activities across projects
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, and Python-based test automation
• Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript for automation scripting
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and SDLC/STLC
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar)
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities
Nice to Have• Experience with performance and load testing tools
• Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and best practices
• ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications
