Gourmet Pakistan is seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead the research and development efforts for innovative ice cream products and flavors. This role requires a passionate and skilled professional to manage a team of 10 and drive product development from concept to commercialization. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of dairy ingredients, food science, and quality systems, ensuring the creation of high-quality, delicious ice cream offerings that meet market demands and regulatory standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Marketing to guarantee successful product launches that align with consumer preferences and industry trends.

This position involves optimizing ingredient formulations to improve taste, texture, and cost efficiency, as well as conducting product trials, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life testing. Staying abreast of emerging technologies, new ingredients, and evolving consumer preferences is essential to maintain a competitive edge. You will lead multiple R&D projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance with food safety and quality regulations. Your leadership will be crucial in mentoring and guiding the R&D team, fostering collaboration to achieve innovative and successful product outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead research, development, and commercialization of new ice cream products and innovative flavors.
• Optimize existing product formulations to enhance quality, taste, texture, and cost-effectiveness.
• Design and conduct product trials, sensory evaluations, and shelf-life studies to validate product performance.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, Procurement, and Marketing teams to coordinate and execute successful product launches.
• Monitor and analyze industry trends, new technologies, innovative ingredients, and consumer preferences to inform product development strategies.
• Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Manage multiple R&D projects from initial concept through market launch, ensuring timelines and goals are met.
• Supervise and mentor a team of 10 R&D professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to product development processes, standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers and external partners to evaluate new ingredients and technologies.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in product quality, production efficiency, and cost management.
