Dreamz Associates is seeking a dedicated Accountant with at least five years of experience, specifically in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will manage a team of four professionals while overseeing comprehensive accounting functions. This position requires strong expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, account reconciliation, and audit compliance to ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards within the companys financial operations. The Accountant plays a crucial role in supporting budgeting and forecasting activities and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard assets and enhance financial efficiency.

The Accountant will be responsible for preparing tax documentation, managing accounts payable and receivable processes, and conducting thorough financial analyses to support strategic decision-making. Proficiency in ERP software and a deep understanding of industry-specific accounting requirements are essential. The role demands an individual who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, lead the accounting group, and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity and operational excellence in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a team of four accounting staff, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Manage full-cycle accounting processes including maintaining the general ledger, processing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring proper account reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports that include income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements aligned with company objectives.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies to maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Coordinate and prepare audit documentation and liaise with external auditors to support the audit process and resolve inquiries.
• Develop and monitor budgeting and forecasting processes to align with organizational goals and support operational planning.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and prepare timely and accurate tax filings specific to the construction industry.
• Utilize ERP software to streamline accounting operations, maintain data accuracy, and generate insightful financial reports.
• Perform detailed financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization and financial improvement.
• Collaborate with project managers and other departments to track project costs and financial performance specific to construction projects.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff to enhance team skills and ensure continuous professional development.
• Stay informed on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices to continuously enhance departmental processes and compliance.
