Senior Mechanic required on contract bases for 12 months
Qualification
BSc/B.Tech
Mechanical Engineering
3-Year Diploma of Associate
Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical
Experience
Minimum 4 years overall field experience in oil & gas drilling
rigs. Minimum 2 years as Senior Mechanic.
Minimum 8 years overall field experience in oil & gas drilling
rigs. Minimum 5 years as Rig Mechanic, including 2 years as
Senior Mechanic.
Technical Responsibilities
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of diesel engines, mud pumps, air compressors, draw works, rotary equipment, and top drive systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement timely repairs.
Maintain maintenance schedules and service records for rig equipment.
Supervise mechanics and provide technical guidance for complex repairs.
Ensure lubrication, alignment, and proper adjustment of critical components.
Coordinate with drilling crew to minimize downtime during repairs.
Inspect spare parts and ensure sufficient stock of consumables.
Perform mechanical overhauls and participate in rig move/set-up activities.
Maintain Compliance With Manufacturer’s Recommendations And COMPANY
standards.
Support upgrades, retrofits, and testing of new equipment.
