Geographic Scope : Multi-country (Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh)

Job Purpose

The Senior Medical Manager is responsible for leading and executing Medical Affairs strategy aligned with global therapeutic area (TA) plans, commercial priorities, and regulatory requirements. The role drives scientific excellence, evidence generation, and stakeholder engagement while supporting business growth and portfolio advocacy.

The position also serves as the affiliate lead for clinical research, ensures strong KOL engagement, and provides leadership in medical strategy across assigned therapeutic portfolios.

Key Responsibilities / Major Accountabilities

  • Medical Affairs Leadership (40%) Lead and execute medical strategy for assigned therapeutic areas.
  • KOL Engagement (30%) Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key opinion leaders across therapeutic areas.
  • Clinical Research Leadership (20%) Lead affiliate-level clinical research including BE studies, epidemiological studies, registries, and observational studies; collaborate with global and local stakeholders.
  • Medical Operations (10%) Oversee affiliate medical operations and ensure alignment with global standards

Key Functional Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement medical strategies aligned with global and affiliate objectives
  • Lead clinical studies, publications, and real-world evidence generation
  • Provide scientific support to commercial teams and training to sales teams
  • Drive medico-marketing activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Engage with national and regional KOLs across assigned therapeutic areas
  • Support product launches and lifecycle management activities
  • Ensure effective medical governance and scientific exchange practices

Education & Experience

  • Minimum MBBS, post graduate qualification will be an added advantage
  • Additional qualifications such as MBA preferred
  • Relevant experience in Medical Affairs and clinical research within the pharmaceutical industry
