Position Summary
The Startup Corporate Affairs & Fundraising Associate will support the Founder in executing strategic initiatives related to fundraising, investor relations, corporate governance, business expansion, strategic partnerships, and venture building.
The role requires someone who combines strong business acumen with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to execute in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fundraising Support
● Manage fundraising pipeline and investor CRM
● Research venture funds, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, corporate VCs, and angel investors
● Prepare investor profiles and meeting briefs
● Coordinate fundraising timelines
● Maintain virtual data rooms
● Support preparation of investment memorandums
● Assist with financial models and fundraising materials
● Coordinate investor due diligence
● Track fundraising KPIs and reporting
2. Corporate Affairs, Global Expansion & Strategic Research
The successful candidate will lead and coordinate corporate affairs, international expansion initiatives, and strategic research across multiple jurisdictions.
Global Corporate Affairs
● Research and evaluate global startup ecosystems, innovation hubs, and international expansion opportunities.
● Identify suitable startup residency, entrepreneur visa, accelerator, incubator, and soft-landing programs worldwide.
● Evaluate incentives including grants, tax credits, R&D incentives, free zones, and government funding programs.
● Research and recommend optimal jurisdictions for headquarters, holding companies, IP holding structures, regional offices, and subsidiaries.
International Company Formation & Corporate Structuring
● Coordinate company incorporation across multiple countries.
● Liaise with legal advisors, company secretaries, incorporation agents, banks, and government authorities.
● Manage corporate governance documentation, statutory filings, shareholder resolutions, and board documentation.
● Maintain corporate records and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance across all entities.
Legal, Tax & Compliance Coordination
● Coordinate with external legal, accounting, tax, and compliance advisors across different jurisdictions.
● Research corporate, employment, IP, data privacy, AI, and commercial regulations affecting company operations.
● Assist with contract administration, NDAs, shareholder agreements, commercial agreements, and corporate documentation.
● Support trademark, intellectual property, and corporate registration activities.
● Monitor compliance deadlines, renewals, licenses, and statutory obligations.
Global Office Network Development
● Research and establish relationships with coworking providers, local partners, business service providers, and representative office options.
● Coordinate office setup, banking relationships, corporate service providers, and operational infrastructure in new markets.
● Build and maintain a network of trusted legal, accounting, HR, recruitment, and government service partners globally.
Strategic Research & Executive Support
● Conduct high-quality research on international markets, industries, competitors, regulations, and investment opportunities.
● Prepare executive briefing papers, market entry reports, country analyses, and strategic recommendations.
● Identify strategic partnership opportunities with accelerators, venture studios, universities, innovation agencies, government bodies, and enterprise partners.
● Support special projects related to fundraising, M&A, strategic partnerships, and international business expansion.
Knowledge Management
● Develop and maintain an internal knowledge base covering international incorporation procedures, tax frameworks, legal requirements, visa pathways, startup incentives, and expansion playbooks.
● Continuously monitor changes in startup ecosystems, regulatory developments, and global innovation programs.
3. Investor & Partner Relations
● Schedule investor meetings
● Prepare meeting agendas
● Record action items
● Follow up on commitments
● Maintain relationship database
● Coordinate conferences and networking events
Qualifications
Education
● MBA (Mandatory)
Experience
● Minimum 3 years in one or more of the following:
○ Startup Operations
○ Corporate Affairs
○ Management Consulting
○ Founder Office
○ Corporate Development
Technical Skills
● Advanced Microsoft Excel

● Financial modelling (preferred)
