Role description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester with 5+ years of experience in both automation and manual testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated and manual test cases to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in test automation frameworks, API testing, and defect management, along with a solid understanding of software testing principles.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.
• Execute and manage automation test suites using Selenium WebDriver.
• Configure and execute test runs using TestNG.
• Implement and maintain BDD (Behaviour-Driven Development) frameworks using Cucumber.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.

API Testing

• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and Rest Assured.
• Validate API functionality, performance, and reliability.

Manual Testing

• Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases covering:
  • Functional Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • Sanity Testing
• Identify, document, and validate software defects.

Defect & Test Management

• Log, track, retest, and manage defects using JIRA.
• Prepare test execution reports and provide regular status updates.
• Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand requirements and resolve issues efficiently.

Version Control & Collaboration

• Manage test scripts and source code using Git or similar version control systems.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to quality assurance activities throughout the SDLC.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation.
• Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver for web application automation.
• Experience with TestNG for test configuration and execution.
• Strong knowledge of Cucumber and BDD frameworks.
• Hands-on experience in API Testing using Postman and/or Rest Assured.
• Solid understanding of Manual Testing concepts and methodologies.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Hands-on experience using JIRA for defect tracking and test management.
• Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools.
