About Edversity
Edversity, part of Rapidev Group of Companies, is looking for a Video Editor to join our content team on-site at our NSTP, H-12, Islamabad office. This is a hands-on, high-output role — video editing is the primary and continuous responsibility, not a side task.


Role Overview
We're looking for an editor who can turn raw footage into scroll-stopping, high-retention short-form content, consistently, day after day. You'll own the edit from raw clips to publish-ready reels — cutting for hook, pace, and meaning, not just assembling clips in order.
Key Responsibilities

• Edit 2–3 reels/day, staying on top of current trends, formats, and audio in our niche
• Cut multicam sequences, apply speed ramps, and grade with Lumetri in Premiere Pro
• Add captions, cutouts, and keyframed zoom animations in CapCut
• Perform color grading in Resolve and build basic motion graphics titles
• Design clean sound — music selection, SFX, levels, and mix — for every edit
• Select and integrate B-roll to support pacing and storytelling
• Cut with a hook-first structure to maximize retention in the first 1–3 seconds
• Follow dialogue closely and edit for meaning and clarity, not just for cuts on beat
• Organize and manage raw footage, project files, and version handoffs
• Collaborate with the content/shooting team to ensure footage supports the intended edit
  
  

Must-Have Skills

• Premiere Pro: multicam editing, speed ramps, Lumetri color
• CapCut: captions, cutouts, keyframed zooms
• DaVinci Resolve: color grading, basic motion graphics titles
• Strong sound design sense — clean audio, mixing, B-roll integration
• Hook-first cutting mindset for short-form/social content
• Strong English comprehension — can follow dialogue accurately and edit for meaning
• Demonstrated awareness of current trends/formats in the relevant content niche
• Ability to consistently deliver 2–3 finished reels per day
  
  

Good to Have

• A portfolio or reel showcasing short-form/social content (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok)
• Experience with thumbnail design or basic graphic design (Photoshop/Canva)
• Basic knowledge of platform algorithms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) and how they affect editing/pacing decisions
• Experience working with a content calendar or high-volume production pipeline

Requirements

• 1+ years of hands-on video editing experience
• A portfolio/reel demonstrating short-form editing skills is required
• Must be able to work onsite full-time at the NSTP, H-12, Islamabad office
