Job Purpose

To direct utility maintenance activities and personnel in the manufacturing facility.

What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be

  • Oversee maintenance of facility, refrigeration system, warehouse, freezer and infrastructure equipment (boilers, air compressors, hot & cold-water systems, CIP systems, etc.) to include daily scheduling, planning and review of work and PMs for utility mechanics to allow seven day/week 24-hour coverage of the systems and facility.
  • Leads PSM program for site and is, with TPM/Maintenance Mgr., main point of contact for audits from regulatory agencies.
  • Accountable to manage Utilities Cost per Ton and drive YOY reduction in Cost through initiatives.
  • Support both capital and non-capital project work that require outside contractors or vendors
  • Provide technical support to mechanics as required
  • Maintain critical spare parts program
  • Ensure all PMs related to refrigeration systems and the regulatory programs are up to date and complete
  • Maintain P&ID drawings for Utilities (Steam, Condensate, Compressed Air, HVAC, ETP, Safety Critical Equipment); help ensure accuracy and update as necessary
  • Work to achieve “Zero” accidents by taking a leadership role in safety
  • Investigate and identify root causes of accidents, quality holds or environmental non-compliance utilizing the TPM RCA process to prevent recurrence of similar incidents
  • Maintain leak logs, relief valve logs, etc.
  • Maintain water treatment system for boilers and condensers with help of outside vendor
  • Maintain plant system, e.g., fire sprinkler system, security systems, paging systems, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage Biomass Boiler related operation, maintenance and purchase contracts.
  • Ensure compliance to Company’s corporate values.

Experience & Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • 7-9 years ‘relevant experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting, apply knowledge in ammonia/ refrigeration systems, boilers, air compressors, ETP
  • Relevant degree and high level of technical skills.
