PURPOSE

The Primary responsibility of “AM - AMI Governance” is to ensure smart meters are up and running and departmental KPIs, AMI Use cases and AMI processes are complied, as per defined governance frameworks through enhanced visibility of data via development of various dashboards and reporting platforms with the objective to realize pre-defined benefits and maximize ROI of executed and operational AMI projects and its Use cases within the limits of organizational policies and SOPs, departmental objectives and directions/guidelines from Supervisor.

Education & Relevant Experience: BS Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or BSCS

1+ years’ experience

Knowledge

 Electrical, Electronic

 Understanding of Smart Grid/AMI infrastructure

 Understanding Databases and SQL

 Knowledge of power distribution network

 Data analytics

 Knowledge of Power BI/QlikView

 SAP - ISU

 Excel

Definition

1 Governance of AMI Implemented Project Use Cases

Implement Governance Frameworks of existing and future AMI use cases and ensure its compliance. This includes:

  • Analysis of existing reports and dashboards for monitoring of AMI Use cases such as auto-billing and DCRC to ensure realization of projected benefits of AMI.
  • Visibility to end users for AMI Project Use Cases - awareness to end user for AMI used cases and implementation
  • End to end Governance of implemented use cases of AMI projects - EAP, IMR, DCRC and MDMS etc.
  • Future AMI executed project’s success monitoring with respect to project’s KPIs.

2 AMI KPI Governance & Compliance

Responsible for Framework implementation, signoff of AMI KPIs governance and compliance including the following:

  • Organizing and relaying information to multiple stakeholders based on accountabilities and significance of respective data for various stakeholders.
  • Escalation to relevant stakeholders for non-compliance of AMI KPIs
  • Ensure compliance and coverage Smart Meter communication KPI.
  • Ensure telco network coverage KPI.
  • Ensure Device & Transactional Data Availability/Coverage KPI for HES/MDM
  • Ensure Device & Transactional Data Integrity (Harmonization across systems) for HES/MDM/SAP
  • Data Usability/Accuracy (Ensure data is usable for end-users) for MDM

3 Policy & Process Governance and compliance

Responsible for governance of AMI SOPs, Policies, and ensuring their compliance. This includes:

  • Ensure that Smart Meters shall only be installed against approved rollouts’ scope.
  • Ensure that Smart Meters are reusable asset and shall only be scrapped on discretion of AMI Dept. and MTD after performing lab and AMI testing.
  • Ensure CT Operated meters and CT/PT Operated meters procured in K-Electric, shall always be Smart Meters.
  • Ensure scrapping of smart meters only on discretion of AMI dept. and MTD after performing lab and AMI testing.
  • Smart Meters installation on request of either K-Electric's Consumers or any department of K-Electric shall be subjected to AMI approval
  • Smart Meter Installation, Operations and Maintenance to keep Smart Metering Infrastructure in up and running state shall be ensured through Plant Wise Accountability and Governance Matrix
  • Governance of meter forecasting, configuration, and installation.
  • Governance of attending offline meters process.
  • Governance of Meter Discrepancies and subsequent actions taken by end user
  • Governance of processes of AMI lifecycle components.
