PURPOSE

Manage and overview operations of MDM and SGG to help maintain Meter 2 Cash cycle and data analytics. Plan and promote the daily schedule routine for all MDM/SGG task. Provide technical support L2 to AMI support team for MDM related Business Cases. Follow up, coordinate, address and resolve MDMS TO-DO(s). Overseeing the daily operations of MDM, authorize or enforce the resolution of issues. Assist in hardware/software upgradations and DR implementation for ensuring uninterrupted service.

This position is responsible for assisting in providing error-free and timely data in MDMS WITH objective of auto billing and analytics WITHIN the limits of organizational policies, SOPs and departmental objectives.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Relevant Experience: BS Engineering (Electrical/Electronics)

1+ years’ experience

Knowledge

 Computer Networks

 Process integration

 Knowledge or working experience of HES solutions

 Familiarity with process integration of MDM with other utility enterprise and operational systems such as HES, SAP ISU.

 Familiarity with MDM Data Model, Web services & BPEL services.

 Hands-on experience in configuration MDM, trouble shoot maintenance issues.

 Strong understanding of Electricity utilities system landscape, Smart grid concepts.

 Able to assist the Testing team with the functional areas to be tested.

 Knowledge of tools such as Java, XPath, XML, SQL/Oracle DB, REST Web Services, Groovy, XSLT, API development Database systems (MSSQL, MySQL etc.)

 System Integration (CIM standards)

 Metering systems and standards (IEC, DLMS\COSEM, IDIS etc.)

 Computer Architecture

 Terminal tools

 End to End architectural understanding of the AMI system.

1 MDMS Administration and Technical Support 30

• Administration of the AMI MDMS system and their subsequent databases. This includes the following:
• Maintenance of Master configuration to support the Business Operations
• Creation/Removal/Maintenance of User Roles and access permission
• Overseeing the daily operations of MDM, authorize or enforce the resolution of issues.
• Observer the error trends and help resolve the trends to resolve the issue.
• Ensure the assignment, addressing and proper resolution of all the To Do's created in the system.
• Provisioning of new To Do Types in the system if required.
• Observing Batch Job and Services Logs for the assessment of investigation
• Technical support L2 to AMI support team for MDM related Business Cases
  
  

2 MDMS optimization and process management 25

Troubleshooting And Solving Software Issues Along With Vendor In Order To Optimize And Create An Error-free System. This Includes The Following

• Troubleshooting and solving software issues along with vendor in order to optimize and create an error-free system.
• Facilitation in process design for better understanding of MDMS processes
• Design and implement SOP and policies related to MDMS for improved performance.
• Coordination with IBC power user, IT, HES, Governance for better resolution of issues related to smart meters, MDMS hardware/software and integration with external systems.
  
  

3 Database Administration & System Integration Monitoring 25

Administration of databases & Systems Integration Monitoring for MDMS. This includes the following

• Implementation of data security, periodic backups, user access management and performance monitoring of databases.
• Implementation, monitoring & maintenance of integration of MDMS with current and ongoing external systems (HES, SAP and Data Analytics software)
  
  

4 SLA and DLP contracts with vendors 10

Facilitates In Proper SLA And DLP Agreements With MDMS AMI Vendors With The Objective Of Providing Error-free And Timely Data To Relevant Stakeholders

• Assist in technical terms of SLA and DLP with MDMS vendors.
• Prepare initial level SOW for SLA and DLP
  
  

5 System monitoring and reporting 10

Facilitation In MDMS System Monitoring And Troubleshooting. This Includes

• In-house Development & Implementation of dashboards for monitoring smart meters communication status in MDMS and server health.
• Gathering predefined sets of metrics or logs for the purpose of monitoring MDMS integration with other systems (HES,SAP etc.).
