Assistant Manager Microbiology

Job Purpose

To ensure the safety and quality of NFL food products by conducting microbiological analysis, implementing best practices, and contributing to a culture of excellence in food safety

Principal Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive microbiological testing and analysis of raw materials, finished products, and environmental samples to detect and identify contaminations
• Monitor and assess sanitation practices and hygiene protocols to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
• Perform routine environmental monitoring by swabbing and sampling critical areas to detect and address potential sources of contamination
• Maintain accurate records of microbiological testing protocols, results, and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements and NFL standards
• Investigate incidents of contamination or deviations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, optimisation of testing methodologies, and enhancement of food safety protocols
• Keep abreast of food safety regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement at all times
  
  

Background Requirements

Education:

• Master’s/ bachelor’s in microbiology
  
  

Experience

• 4-6 years relevant experience preferred.
