We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager Strategy & Client Services to join us within our Entertainment, Sports & Partnerships (ESP) unit, you will embark on an exciting journey that blends strategy, content creation, and client management. In this role, you will learn to work with clients, develop amplification plans, and support content creation and production activities across entertainment and sports sectors. Your work will help drive meaningful client engagements, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to successful branded content campaigns. You will work closely with internal agencies i.e. Mindshare, T&Pm, Essence Mediacom & Wavemaker planning/buying teams in Pakistan.

- Drive the innovation, content and partnership agenda on GroupM clients - and not only work on, but craft from start to end, award-winning marketing initiatives that stretches from production innovation through to the last retail mile and everything in-between
- No one day is the same as you will be interacting and work with a ton of different stakeholders including clients from many different functions beyond "just" marketing as well as production houses, IP rights holders and partner agencies
- Direct rapport with the very senior management team within the client organization to pro-actively suggest and source opportunities.
In three months: Onboarding & Learning Phase
- Familiarize yourself with the company, clients, and internal teams. Begin learning the fundamentals of client servicing, strategy development, and content creation.
- Client & Internal Team Onboarding: Get introduced to key clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Understand the ESP unit’s offerings, including strategies for content amplification, partnerships, and production.
- Training & Process Familiarization: Undergo initial training on content creation, amplification strategies, and production processes in entertainment and sports.
- Assisting with Client Communication: Begin supporting senior team members in client communication, scheduling meetings, and handling basic requests.
- Assist with preparing client reports, presentations, and meeting notes.
- Shadowing & Observation: Observe client meetings and brainstorming sessions to understand how strategies are developed.
- Learn how content and production teams collaborate and contribute to project delivery.
- Begin taking on more responsibility in client servicing, strategy development, and execution of campaigns under supervision.
- Client Servicing & Project Management: Start managing smaller client accounts or projects under the supervision of senior team members.
- Handle client requests, track deliverables, and ensure timelines are met.
- Developing Amplification Plans: Assist in creating strategic amplification plans, including social media and digital activation strategies.
- Collaborate with the team to develop campaign content briefs, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
- Internal Reporting & Feedback: Track campaign performance metrics and provide basic analysis for ongoing campaigns.
- Prepare regular reports for clients, outlining project status, performance, and actionable recommendations.
- Take more independent ownership of specific client projects, amplifying your role in strategy and execution.
- Client Strategy & Relationship Building: Start building strong relationships with clients, becoming their point of contact for specific campaigns.
- Participate in strategy development, offering insights and ideas to improve client campaigns.
- Managing Campaign Execution: Own smaller projects from start to finish, including content creation, production schedules, and partner coordination.
- Lead internal teams to ensure client deliverables are met according to agreed timelines and budgets.
- Partnership Engagements: Begin identifying potential partnerships and sponsorships in the entertainment and sports sectors.
- Support negotiations and work on partnership activations with guidance from senior managers.
- You will be fully capable of independently managing client accounts, developing strategies, and executing content projects, with increased responsibility for driving results and managing client expectations.
- Client Relationship Management: Take full ownership of key client accounts, maintaining proactive communication and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Work closely with clients to assess their long-term goals and provide strategic guidance on future campaigns.
- Strategic Amplification & Partnerships: Independently develop amplification strategies for larger-scale campaigns, incorporating cross-channel tactics.
- Identify and build new partnership opportunities to drive value for clients in the entertainment and sports domains.
- Mentorship and Collaboration: Actively participate in team building sessions along with initiating plans to keep the energies alive.
- Actively contribute to team brainstorming sessions and strategy meetings.
Assistant Manager Strategy & Client Servicing will be responsible for – but not limited to – the following tasks:
- Align daily tasks with the line manager to ensure clear priorities.
- Work closely with direct team members to synchronize on shared deliverables.
- Define, refine, and unlock deliverable details and outline next steps.
- Organize and lead brainstorming sessions, capturing actionable insights for implementation.
- collaborate with planning, buying, and digital teams to develop effective plans.
- Work with cross-team resources to gather information crucial for task execution.
- Prepare ideation documents to facilitate internal alignments.
- Create visually compelling and content-aligned decks for communication and storytelling in close coordination with the line manager.
- Demonstrate curiosity to be a strong strategic and conceptual thinker.
- Skilled at nurturing and leading the development of integrated ideas.
- Be able inspire creativity in our agency product and teams along with a passion for digging deep to unlock meaningful insights.

- Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively at all levels, internally/externally, formally & informally.
- Strong listening, writing and presentation skills; proficient in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Minimum undergraduate degree in Business, Media or Mass Communication.
- 1 year in Creative/Media Agency, Production House, Broadcast Sales experience.
