Job Purpose

This position deals with workplace safety through effective monitoring and mitigation of hazards throughout BU Distribution. It also deals with ways to promote safety in order to minimize incidents.

Areas Of Responsibility

Audit

  • SLA Audit Pre-Audit Preparations
  • Audit Planning, Execution and Report preparation
  • Post-audit activities: reporting, Corrective actions and follow-up
  • Facilitation of external/internal audits of the HSE Department

Hazard Monitoring

  • Record, monitor and keep a detailed database of all hazards in Distribution
  • Follow-up hazards till closure and ensure its mitigation
  • Conduct analysis of hazards and their underlying cause

PPE & Tools

  • Planning, budgeting and provision of PPEs/SPEs & tool in coordination with relevant stakeholders
  • Facilitation for PR and PO for material procurement with MM Team.
  • Review of daily stock position
  • Disbursement of Summer Item

Safety Awareness Activities

  • Maintain a log of public safety awareness campaigns conducted in Distribution
  • Support in conducting safety events in Clusters such as Safety Week, World Safety day etc
  • Introduce ways to promote visibility of Safety through various means

Reports

  • Prepare safety related alert and advisories
  • Prepare HSE-D monthly performance report
  • Prepare HSE-D newsletter
  • Prepare other performance related reports and presentations

HSE Policies and Procedures

  • HSEQD Document Controlling and development and revision considering QMS requirements
  • PSM SOP development and Coordination with CHSEQ
  • Maintain Updated Master list of Documents at HSEQD
  • PSM and Other SOP Implementation measures, (e.g. development of Checklists, Teams, etc.)

Rewards and Recognition

  • Coordination with stakeholder on Monthly and annual Rewards as per procedures.
  • Coordination with BF and Treasury for timely disbursement of reward money
  • Reward distribution is arranged on monthly basis.

Education & Relevant Experience

Bachelors with 3 years of overall experience including 2 years of experience in HSE department.

Knowledge

  • Statutory laws and acts related to health & safety
  • IOSH Certification
  • ISO45001
  • NEBOSH IGC (Optional)
