Associate Psychologist

Responsibilities 

We are looking to hire an Associate Psychologist who will work with the Taskeen team to: 

1. Provide telephonic mental health counseling services to beneficiaries contacting us for help.
2. Maintain beneficiaries database. 
3. Conduct mental health screening and provide appropriate therapeutic services to beneficiaries.

Experience 

1. Background in mental health 

a. MPhil or MSc degree in clinical psychology (mandatory) 

b. Lived experience with mental illness (preferred) 

2. At least 1-year experience in providing psycho-social support to patients. 

3. Candidate must demonstrate strong management skills 

4. Candidate must have exceptional communication skills 

Other Information 

1. Preference will be given to: Balochi, Brahvi, Farsi, Balti, Shina, Khowar, and Sindhi speaking candidates
2. Can be remote but preferred if they are in Karachi 
3. This is a full-time position (hybrid) 
4. Salary range is 55k - 65k

About Taskeen

Taskeen is a mental health initiative that aims to change people’s attitudes, behaviours and perceptions towards health and well-being in Pakistan. The Taskeen Wellness program was launched in June 2020 and aims:

1. To establish a helpline that provides mental health support to beneficiaries requiring help.
2. To evaluate whether the session was successful and how much the beneficiaries benefited from the services. 
3. To establish a referral channel where beneficiaries requiring specific services are referred through the appropriate channels. 
4. To vet and maintain a registry of qualified mental health service providers across Pakistan.
