Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated Penetration Tester to join our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational understanding of penetration testing methodologies and be eager to learn and grow. This role involves identifying security vulnerabilities in various systems, applications, and networks through the use of manual and automated testing techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute penetration tests for specific environments and types of services, to ensuring comprehensive coverage of potential security vulnerabilities.
- work with clients to determine their requirements from the test, for example, the number and type of systems they would like testing
- Utilize automated tools and manual testing techniques to discover and exploit security flaws.
- Hands-on experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment tools and techniques such as nmap, zmap, burpsuite, OWASP ZAP, sqlmap, Metasploit, Nessus and OpenVas Etc.
- Analyze and interpret the results of penetration tests to provide detailed reports and remediation plans for remediation.
- Present the findings, risks and remediations to clients
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (such as OWASP, NIST, ISO).
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing projects.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and web applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA Security+, CEH) are a plus.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in using penetration testing tools.
