AWS Architect, Trilogy (Remote) - $100,000/year USD

Most organizations ask you to manage one stack. We're asking you to consolidate and refine multiple stacks without causing disruption. Where others segregate databases, we take a different approach, strategically consolidating them to maximize cost efficiency and simplify management across our entire portfolio. This position isn't designed for someone content to monitor existing infrastructure; it's built for someone who encounters a disjointed, inconsistent environment and immediately envisions how to improve it.

Your ownership will extend from infrastructure migrations through AI-driven automation, performance optimization, database migration, and cost management. This means identifying and resolving existing issues, orchestrating and executing smooth cloud migrations with minimal downtime, and using AI/ML-powered workflows to automate substantial portions of your work. You'll possess genuine decision-making authority over infrastructure—no prolonged waits for sign-off from stakeholders unfamiliar with the technical reality.

What You Will Be Doing

• Orchestrating and executing sophisticated infrastructure transitions, including migrations from legacy environments to AWS cloud infrastructure and lift-and-shift operations
• Architecting and deploying monitoring strategies and developing automation for monitoring, software deployment, and operational processes
• Conducting system monitoring, system backups, incident management, database migrations, database configuration, and cost reduction initiatives

• Being confined to limited technical domains - this position demands both comprehensive knowledge and specialized expertise

AWS Architect Key Responsibilities

• Lead reliability and standardization efforts for cloud infrastructure across our expanding product portfolio through implementation of comprehensive monitoring, automation, and AWS best practices.
  
  

Basic Requirements

• Extensive AWS infrastructure expertise (this is our core platform - experience with other cloud providers alone is insufficient)
• Proficient programming capabilities in Python or JavaScript for developing automation and tooling
• Demonstrated experience managing and migrating production databases across multiple engines (including MySql, Postgres, Oracle, MS-SQL)
• Expert-level Docker/Kubernetes proficiency
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
• Linux systems administration proficiency

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
