Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated Backend Developer Intern to join our growing technology team. As a Backend Intern, you will work closely with experienced developers to build, enhance, and maintain our server-side applications, databases, and APIs that power our web and mobile platforms. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop your backend programming skills and contribute to real-world projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Develop and maintain APIs for seamless data exchange between the frontend and backend systems.
• Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices and company standards.
• Implement and maintain databases, including writing queries and optimizing performance.
• Debug and troubleshoot backend issues and identify improvements.
• Help with security and data protection measures, ensuring that backend systems are secure and scalable.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, product, and frontend development to build and deliver new features.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest backend development trends, tools, and technologies.
  
  

Requirements

• Basic understanding of server-side programming languages like Node.js, Python, or PHP.
• Familiarity with backend frameworks such as Express.js, Django, Flask, etc.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and ability to write basic queries (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of web security, authentication, and authorization protocols (e.g., OAuth, JWT).
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot backend systems.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and improve coding practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Fresh graduate preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering.
• Knowledge of database systems
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Experience with version control systems (Github)
