Business Planning Manager - Corporate & Investment Banking

Job Summary

Responsible to work closely with the Corporate & Institutional Banking teams and functions (Human Resources, Finance, Property, Technology, CEO Office, Regional Corporate & Investment Banking Office) for smooth functioning of Corporate & Investment Banking operating rhythm.

Key Responsibilities

• Closely work with Corporate & Investment Banking teams and functions (HR, Finance, Property, Technology, CEO Office, Regional CIB Office) for smooth functioning of Corporate & Institutional Banking operating rhythm.
• Be the central point of cross-function collaboration for Corporate & Investment Banking team. Liaise between frontline and back-end teams and resolving issues, if any.
• Assist in driving Corporate & Investment Banking strategy & initiatives across the Bank and the Group, in line with Group & in-Country priorities. Assist with communications with external stakeholders, where required.
• Ensure smooth running of Corporate & Investment Banking Office through proactive management of ongoing deliverables.
• Conduct weekly forums to track business performance & Corporate & Investment Banking initiatives.
• Conduct periodic business reviews of all teams & follow-up on open items till closure. Engage functions where required.
• Maintain communication with the wider Group & Country Corporate & Investment Banking team. Prepare communication, papers & presentations for business updates to be presented to CEO / Region office / Group visitors by Corporate & Investment Banking Head. In doing so, ensure adequate research is conducted & latest updates are incorporated from relevant business function.
• Engage people and resources to facilitate Group visitors in exploring Corporate & Investment Banking Pakistan. Be the central point of contact for all Group visits, staff engagement and client events across the Corporate & Investment Banking space. Liaise with relevant teams (upstream & downstream) and communicate plans, ensuring a smooth flow of events. Post-event, ensure communication of the same on internal & external outlets, where applicable.
• Awareness and understanding of the Group’s business strategy and model appropriate to the role.
• Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates
