Demand Planning Specialist

This job contributes to FrieslandCampina’s success by ensuring a high level of competence in the Demand Planning area. The demand planning function is responsible to closely coordinating with the commercial team to make a rolling forecast of the company.

What We Ask

• Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management/Logistics or Engineering
• Knowledge of principles such as forecasting, S&OP, statistics
• Knowledge of sales and marketing in a Food environment
• Knowledge of ERP-systems (preferred SAP)
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge of operational processes/supply chain management
• Basic knowledge of Financial Management

Vacancy Description

Demand planning

• Creates the demand plans based on baseline forecast which is enriched by inputs from the commercial teams.
• Understands how to use statistical forecasting to create a solid baseline forecast and maintains, reviews, and cleans historical data and determines if this can be applied to the portfolio
• Understand the impact of business dynamics and translate them into the demand plan: NPD, phase-in/out, promotions, events, seasonality, activations
• Secure demand plan constraining in case of supply restrictions and share the results with internal stakeholders (e.g. supply, sales, and customer service)
• Prepares the pre-demand review meeting & demand review meetings and provides input for the Management Team Demand review meeting with the commercial teams
• Follow-up of the decisions/constraints from the S&OP cycle
• The first point of contact for the commercial organization for the operational and/or tactical planning horizon
  
  
  

Monitoring planning (PDCA-cycle) & Analysis

• Drive continuous improvement of the forecast accuracy and bias in alignment with the commercial teams.
• Monitor, analyze, understand and challenge the quality of the enrichments provided by the commercial teams (assumptions, deltas, consumption, trends, issues, gaps, risks, opportunities)
• Coordinate any activities related to the constraining and allocation process for the Customer SC and ensure the match of demand & supply
• Coordinate with Supply and Commercial teams to determine priorities, corrective and preventive actions to prevent OOS in accordance with the internal procedures
• Continuously look for opportunities & improvements within a daily work context and take ownership in implementing solutions
  
  
  

Information & Communication

• Analyze and determine the impact of OOS on customer level and communication to Customer Care and commercial teams in accordance with the internal procedures
• Provide KPI dashboards, insights, and decision documents at the request or at own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical analyses
  
  
  

Project

• Participates in assigned (Customer supply chain, cross-functional) projects, within the project management guidelines (e.g. NPI, NPD, Change controls, improvement) in- and outside the Customer SC
