Job Purpose:

The P2P / Purchase to Pay Specialist will be managing the purchase order process across all indirect categories including IT hardware, software, facilities management and others.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring that all demand that comes through is actioned as per agreed SLA's including a 'hands on' approach in all aspects of the team.
• Ensure that all processes are as per the agreed governance, guiding and educating the wider teams on the correct ways of working and making improvements if necessary, including reviewing/addressing Ariba P2P purchase requisitions to maintain compliance to policies and processes.
• Raising purchase orders using SAP, working with approvers to ensure PO's are released in a timely manner and within the agreed timeframes.
• Working with Finance to ensure the Purchase order approval matrix is kept up to date and communicated to all who need it.
• Accurate maintenance of P2P Team records; produce regular reports on the demand/input through the Team and presenting at Team meetings.
• Ensure that invoices are processed quickly and efficiently and working with Accounts payable/Finance to resolve any queries as required to ensure that the Credit Rating for business is not impacted by late payment of invoices.
• Maintain and support improvement of the 'Purchase to Pay' process and Ariba, in collaboration with key stakeholders (e.g. BF, IM, Business Planning, SC Excellence etc.) Meeting.
• Management Information (MI) and other operational reports, building on the centralized spend data analytics and support.

The P2P Buyers operate within a dynamic and complex environment, both internally at National Foods and externally in the broader Pakistani and International marketplace.

Internal complexities:

• NFL, a large, established food manufacturer, navigates the challenges of a diverse product portfolio, complex supply chain, often unstructured and an aspiring international business. The company operates in a competitive landscape within the Pakistani food industry, requiring constant adaptation and strategic decision-making.
• With respect to Supply Chain as an enabling function, it is very transactional in nature and needs to be evolved in line with industry and global best practices so that it can serve as a competitive edge to NFL for both local and international business divisions.

External complexities:

• The Pakistani economy faces ongoing fluctuations in currency exchange rates, inflation, and political uncertainties, impacting sourcing costs and overall business operations.
• International trade regulations and geopolitical factors can significantly influence supplier relationships and the availability of raw materials.
• The global food market is subject to constant change, driven by evolving consumer preferences, technological advancements, and sustainability concerns and regulatory environment both locally and internationally.
• This dynamic environment necessitates a Category Lead with strong analytical skills, adaptability, and the ability to navigate both internal and external complexities to achieve optimal category performance and building an agile and resilient supply chain.

Background Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management

Experience: 2 years of working experience in Purchasing & Procurement.
