We are looking for a Backend Developer, to work out of the Contour Software Karachi resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with a strong background in C++. The ideal candidate will be agile and adapt to evolving project requirements. You will be working with a large existing codebase, so proficiency in managing and enhancing legacy systems is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, enhance and optimise C++ applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, and implement new features.
- Work with MS SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and optimizing performance.
- Utilize your knowledge to enhance system communication, functionality, performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience with C++ Builder.
- Strong understanding of processes and threads in application development.
- Experience with MS SQL and working with large databases.
- Ability to work with and improve a large existing codebase.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Experience with other programming languages such as C# and JavaScript, and frameworks.
- Knowledge of modern software development practices and tools.
- Familiarity with Visual Component Library
- Understanding of DCOM (Distributed Component Object Model) and RPC (Remote Procedure Call) including security aspects. Knowledge of alternative DCOM implementations or interoperability solutions
