Commercial & Sales Manager
Role Summary:
We are looking for a high-performing Commercial & Sales Manager to lead the growth of the Kisaan Kanak brand. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing the sales and distribution strategy for wheat flour, identifying and managing B2B and retail buyers, building distribution networks, negotiating commercial agreements, and ensuring consistent revenue growth.
The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, driven, and experienced in the FMCG/food commodities space, with a strong understanding of distribution models, pricing dynamics, and customer acquisition.
Responsibilities:
Sales & Market Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies for Kisaan Kanak’s wheat flour across B2B, retail, and institutional segments.
- Identify and onboard key buyers including wholesalers, retailers, kiryana stores, distributors etc.
- Drive regional sales expansion in priority areas aligned with brand and production capacity.
Commercial Negotiation & Deal Structuring
- Lead pricing negotiations and lock commercial terms including payment structures, delivery schedules, and credit terms.
- Monitor market rates and competitor pricing to inform dynamic pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with production and supply chain teams to align demand planning with commercial commitments.
Distribution Management
- Build and manage distribution partner networks for timely product availability and optimized logistics.
- Evaluate and onboard new vendors, transporters, and warehousing providers as needed.
- Monitor distributor performance and support trade marketing/promotional plans to drive sell-through.
Revenue & Performance Management
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for Kisaan Kanak.
- Track and report key sales metrics, margins, volume movement, and receivables.
- Identify growth levers, new opportunities, and product feedback loops to inform strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- Good understanding of regional and rural market dynamics is a strong advantage.
Experience:
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in FMCG sales, commodity trading, agri-business, or food brands.
- Proven track record in pricing strategies, deal-making, and customer relationship management.
- Prior experience working with flour, grains, pulses, or other staple food categories is preferred.
