Promate is now preparing for a strategic expansion into Pakistan — one of the region’s most dynamic and high-growth markets.
We are seeking a high-caliber Country Manager — an industry expert with deep market knowledge, strong distribution and retail networks, and proven leadership in scaling accessory and electronics brands in Pakistan. This is not just a management role; it is a transformational leadership position with full ownership of market entry, business development, operational infrastructure, and sustainable long-term growth.
The Country Manager will have end-to-end ownership of Promate’s Pakistan business, including P&L management, market strategy, distribution architecture, product portfolio optimization, trade marketing, e-commerce operations, and after-sales ecosystem development.
The ideal candidate is a strategic builder, a commercial operator, and a hands-on executor capable of setting up a complete country operation from zero while scaling revenue rapidly across multiple verticals.
This role requires deep expertise in:
- Mobile accessories (chargers, audio, cables, mobility solutions, power products)
- IT peripherals (keyboards, mice, hubs, docking stations, connectivity products)
- Consumer electronics retail & distribution
- E-commerce marketplace dynamics
- Import, regulatory, and supply chain flow for CE products in Pakistan
- Develop a multi-year go-to-market roadmap aligned with Promate’s global strategy and Pakistan’s market dynamics.
- Lead competitive benchmarking, pricing strategies, margin structures, and product segmentation tailored to local consumer behavior.
- Conduct detailed market analysis to identify high-potential verticals: retail, modern trade, online marketplaces, B2B, corporate, SMB/enterprise, government tenders.
- Manage annual operating plans, revenue targets, cost structures, and bottom-line metrics.
- Build financial discipline through forecasting, demand planning, sales funnel analysis, and ROI-driven decision-making.
- Optimize SKU strategy and assortment planning based on channel performance, category insight, and consumer purchasing trends.
Map, identify, and negotiate with top-tier national and regional distributors specializing in:
- Mobile accessories
- IT peripherals
- Consumer electronics retail
- Telecom channel partners
- Wholesale networks
- Structure comprehensive distributor agreements including credit terms, incentive schemes, sell-in/sell-through targets, and exclusive partnerships.
- Create a multi-layer distribution ecosystem ensuring deep penetration across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 cities.
- Build strong relationships with leading CE chains, hypermarkets, telcos, mobility retailers, and IT stores.
- Implement world-class merchandising, retail branding, and in-store visibility programs.
- Develop trade promotion calendars, product launch plans, and channel-specific go-to-market plays.
- Ensure optimal channel inventory health, fast rotation, and minimal aging stock.
Establish and manage Promate’s digital ecosystem:
- Daraz
- Local marketplaces
- E-retailers
- Social commerce platforms
- Develop online-first product bundles, pricing strategies, and exclusive launches.
- Optimize content, reviews, SEO/SEM, DSP ads, and performance marketing to scale online visibility and conversion.
- Build dashboards for real-time analytics of online sales, share-of-shelf, competitor pricing, and category performance.
- Build a high-performance local team spanning sales, marketing, operations, and service.
- Implement KPI-driven performance management and hiring strategies for future growth.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational discipline aligned with Promate’s global standards.
- Establish 1–2 strong national distribution partners and secure agreements.
- Launch Promate brand identity across top electronics retail chains.
- Build an active portfolio presence in Pakistan’s top 100+ retail outlets.
- Achieve significant traction and revenue from Daraz and other e-commerce players.
- Activate country-wide after-sales operations with measurable KPIs.
- Deliver stable monthly revenue growth with predictable forecasting accuracy.
- Build and onboard the initial high-impact Promate Pakistan team.
Minimum 10 years in Pakistan’s consumer electronics, mobile accessories, or IT peripherals industry.
Strong relationships with:
- National distributors
- Retail chains
- Telcos
- E-commerce buyers
- Demonstrated experience launching or scaling major CE brands in Pakistan.
- Proven P&L ownership of a multimillion-dollar business unit.
- Strong command of import operations, taxation, regulatory frameworks, and compliance related to electronics.
- Ability to manage complex negotiations with distributors, retailers, and strategic partners.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
