Country Manager

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the operation of the Church’s temporal affairs in Pakistan under the direction of the Asia Area Director for Temporal Affairs (DTA) and in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Ensure all employees in Pakistan successfully accomplish their respective work via progress review, training, counseling, and inspection and in working with the area managers
• Identify temporal affairs’ needs through meeting with local ecclesiastical leaders and key stakeholders and ensure all temporal affairs support and needs are addressed in a timely manner
• Assess services and performance on a timely manner and develop business solutions through working with the local staff and area management team, including performance improvement and cost reduction
• Chair local boards or committees as assigned by the DTA
• Protect financial resources by approving and monitoring budgets
• Develop and maintain good relations with government officials, NGOs, and religious leaders
  
  

Qualifications

• Highly familiar with the Church organization, doctrines, and policies
• University degree in business or related discipline, master’s degree preferred
• Proven track record of managerial and leadership experiences in international companies
• A strong background in strategic planning and a proven record of achieving results
• Exceptional interpersonal, managerial, team-building and supervisory skills required
• A thorough knowledge of local culture and laws
• Fluent in English and Urdu - written and spoken
• Must be able to follow through and offer/receive feedback
• Ability to work across cultures
