Data Scientist

KalSoft is seeking an experienced and highly analytical Data Scientist with 5+ years of hands-on experience in data-driven product development and business insights. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building predictive models, applying statistical analysis, and transforming data into actionable strategies. You will play a key role in helping our clients and internal teams make smarter decisions through advanced analytics and machine learning techniques.

This is a full time onsite opportunity for Oman.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, trends, and business opportunities
• Build, validate, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning and statistical techniques
• Work closely with clients to understand business problems and translate them into data science solutions
• Communicate complex findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences through visualizations and storytelling
• Develop dashboards and reports for ongoing monitoring of key metrics
• Collaborate with data engineers and software teams to integrate models into production systems
• Research and implement the latest data science methodologies and tools
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data science or analytics roles
• Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and machine learning techniques
• Proficiency in Python and key libraries like pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, statsmodels, and visualization tools such as Matplotlib or Plotly
• Experience with SQL and working with large datasets
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and deployment of models
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), or time series forecasting
• Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker)
• Exposure to big data technologies (Spark, Hive, Hadoop) is a plus
• Experience with MLOps frameworks and model lifecycle management tools
