Purpose

DM Network Operations will be responsible for governing the IT Network Infrastructure platforms as per industry defined standard. Leading the design, specification, configuration, installation, and maintenance of local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services and Internet service providers. Establish capacity Management Practices in which the current platform capacities will be reviewed & optimized. Other responsibilities include deployments of Network and communication related projects and technical evaluations of NextGen advance technologies that can be incorporated into existing infrastructure for overall performance improvement.

Education

• BS (CS, TE, EE)
• Masters will be a plus.

• Excellent knowledge of Network and Data Center Communications
• Excellent Knowledge of Firewalls, SSL and IPSec VPN, Proxy server’s configuration and management
• Layer 2 and Layer 3 Networking knowledge
• CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or HCIA/HCIP/HCIE, FCP,PCNSA
• Good Analytical and Technical knowledge
• Understanding of Next-Gen Networking technologies like SD-WAN, SD-LAN, SDN solutions etc.

Area Of Responsibility

• Access Networks Operations Management
• Ensuring High Availability of Networks by setting up, developing, and maintaining computer networks within organization or between different locations of organization.
• Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
• Performing gap Assessment in network Infrastructure and established BCP practices for business continuity.
• Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP
• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Network uptime assurance as per business requirements.
• To define and establish the Performance KPIs for optimal performance of IT Network Infrastructure Platforms.
• Managing regular maintenance of Internal Campus Fiber connectivity, KE wireless links and WAN towers.
• MPLS links utilization reports analysis and coordination with projects and procurements team for upgrades.
• Managing access and security permission of field operations team and ensure HSEQ compliance on all field operations tasks.
• RFP documentation preparation for upcoming technical solutions and procurements.
• Conduct product and vendor Technical evaluations ensuring best in class technologies and partners.
• Works closely with and manage strategic and vendor partner relationships. Setup and run the Governance with the partners. Build strategic relationships for creating value for the organization.
• Undertake data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments using information from multiple sources.
• Reporting monthly/weekly network status to key stakeholders.
• Establishing the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, and defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards
• Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access.
• Configure routing and switching equipment, hosted IP voice services.
• Provide remote support to resident engineer and operation team during network/connectivity issues.
• Provide remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur on individual cases and onsite support if incase of multiple complaints.
• Undertake capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers.
• liaise with project management teams, third-line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis.
• NWC Project Deployment
  
  

Provide technical support in IT NWC Project deployments, weekly follow ups, reporting of progress to Manager. Other responsibilities include.

• Core NWC Equipment deployments
• Upgrade data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases
• Vendor Coordination for equipment deployments and configurations
• Coordination with IT PMO
• Coordination with project approval board
• Weekly progress reporting in coordination with project managers
• Team Building and Mentoring Young Talent
• Leading the team building process
• Mentoring young talent and ensuring their technical as well as personal growth and grooming
• Inculcating strong ethical behaviors within team for inside and outside of their assigned area of responsibilities.
• Recognition and Assessment of skills within team. Ensuring polishing of strong areas and support for areas where improvement is required.
• Recognition and training of young talent for future leadership and potential assets for organization.
